What Our Graduates are Doing

Our graduates work in a range of settings, and they have a range of goals (one that we know of is applying to law school!). Interestingly, all the officers for the Western District of the Illinois Physical Therapy Association are Bradley graduates. They are Tricia Saylor, class of 1997, president; Michelle Ogryzek, class of 1999, vice president; Laura Rohnert, class of 2000, treasurer, and Angie Verdick, class of 2001, secretary. William McGehee, class of 1995, is treasurer of the Illinois Physical Therapy Association, an Illinois delegate to the Annual Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association, and Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education for the Bradley MPT program.

Brian Staniszewski, class of 2002, physical therapy
A staff physical therapist at Great Plains Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center located in Peoria, Ill., Brian sees a mix of both non-operative and post-op orthopedic patients. He is also certified as a strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA.

Michele Reyling, class of 2002, health science/business
A graduate of the Health Science program, Michele is engaged in medical billing for retired military people and dependents of military personnel. While a drawback of her job with military intelligence is having to cope with government red tape, she still thinks her job is worth the effort because she is able to live in Colorado.

Joanna Moser, class of 2002, physical therapy
Joanna is working as an inpatient physical therapist at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill., where she’s involved with a pre-operative clinic for Total Joint Replacement patients, as well as a clinic for cystic fibrosis patients. She is also a member of the Acute Care Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Jennifer Bachler, class of 1996, physical therapy
Jennifer has worked at OSF St. Francis Medical Center for more than six years, where she has gained experience with adult acute care and pediatrics, and has focused on outpatient care. She sees mostly orthopedic patients and works part-time in an aquatic environment. Continuing education helps her to be well rounded and flexible in what she can accomplish in today’s health care settings. She’s a member of the Bradley University Department of Physical Therapy and Health Science Curriculum Committee.

Jason Rodeghero, class of 2002, physical therapy
A graduate for just a year, Jason is working for Vital Care in Ottawa, Ill., where he is already transitioning into a managerial position in this orthopedic clinic. He is completing certification as an athletic trainer, a residency requirement for a doctoral degree, and certification as a manual therapist.

Amy (Kurtz) Johnson, class of 1997, physical therapy
A senior physical therapist at Great Plains Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center located in Peoria, Ill., Amy recently assumed the role of Center Coordinator of Clinical Education. In December 2002, she received her certification as a USA weightlifting sports performance coach. She is currently in the process of applying to law school and hopes to start school in the fall.
