You can use other operating systems, but they may not work ideally on the campus network. Additionally, students are responsible for the maintenance of their personal computer, peripherals, and any software brought to campus. We recommend that you bring all CD's that came with your computer in the event that the computer, peripheral, or software may need to be reinstalled.
