Bradley Saxophone Quartet and Quintet will give recital April 25

The Bradley University Saxophone Quartet and Quintet, under the direction of Bradley saxophone teacher Keith M. Zimmerman, will present a recital on Thursday, April 25, at 7:30 in the Dingeldine Music
Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. The performance is free and open to the public.
Members of the ensembles are music majors, minors, and students from other areas who continue to study and play in ensembles while pursuing their degrees.
The program will consist of both original and transcribed works for saxophone ensembles and will include works by Tchaikovsky, Bizet, the first saxophone quartet ever written in 1857 by Jean-Baptiste Singelee, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Bach, British composer Paul Harvey, and Robert Schumann.
Quartet members are Zimmerman, soprano saxophone; Daniel Young, Metamora, alto saxophone; Amanee Avery, Rockford, tenor saxophone; and Curtis Nelson, Annawan, baritone saxophone; with Rebecca Bucklin, Peoria, alto saxophone for the quintet portion of the program.
