Oboe recital set for February 5

Peoria, IL (January 19, 2012) Dr. Alison Robuck will present a faculty oboe recital on Sunday, February 5, at 3 p.m. in the Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. Admission is free and open to the public.

Joining Robuck in the program are Dr. Peter Miyamoto, associate professor of piano and chamber music at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Timothy Archbold, Bradley cello professor.  The program will feature oboe sonatas by Edmund Rubbra, Franz Reizenstein, Camille Saint-Saëns, and Georg Philipp Telemann.

Dr. Robuck teaches oboe and music appreciation at Bradley. She has performed as oboe soloist with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra and the Baroque Artists of Champaign, and she has held positions in these orchestras as well as in the Sinfonia da Camera and the Champaign-Urbana Symphony.  She completed her masters and doctorate degrees at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
