Student ensembles to present string chamber music recital

Peoria, IL (April 11, 2012) Student ensembles from the Department of Music at Bradley University will present a string chamber music recital on Monday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. The recital is free and open to the public.
The program will feature string duos, trios and a quartet. Works being performed include the Sergei Taneyev Trio in D Major, Op.21, Miklos Rozsa Sonata for Two Violins, Op. 15a, Ludwig van Beethoven String Quartet in E minor, Op. 59, No. 2, and works by Alexander Glazunov and Johannes Brahms.
Performing in the recital are violinists Jenna Ferdon, Tai Fraction, Kelsey Klopfenstein, Caleb Mackinder, Brianna Smith, and Anna Wilks, violists Sarah Igram and Alyssa Przygoda, and cellist Britney Whiting. The chamber music ensembles are coached by Marcia Henry Liebenow, professor of violin, viola, and chamber music at Bradley and Concertmaster of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra.
