Retired Allstate President to give McCord Lecture

Peoria, IL (May 8, 2012) George Ruebenson, retired president of Allstate Protection will present the 36th McCord Lecture at Bradley University on Friday, May 18, at 8 a.m. in the Peplow Pavilion in the Hayden-Clark Alumni Center, located at 830 N. Glenwood Ave. His lecture, titled “When Leaders Face Difficult Decisions,” is open to the public.
Ruebenson, a 1970 graduate of Bradley, retired as president of Allstate Protection, after 40 years of service with the Allstate Insurance Company. He maintained Allstate’s financial performance, improved customer loyalty and built a foundation for sustainable growth. He is known for his dedication to customers, employees, and agency owners. He led Allstate’s community efforts to keep teenagers safe while driving.
Mr. Ruebenson joined Allstate in 1970 and held key leadership positions in the company’s home office and field operation. In 2000, he was named vice president for the Property-Casualty Claims Service Organization, the largest employee group in the company. Shortly after, Ruebenson became a member of Allstate’s senior management team as senior vice president. He was appointed president of Allstate Protection in 2007.
He was awarded Bradley’s Centurion Award, one of the highest alumni awards, in 2009.
