Attorney, Author to Discuss Lincoln's Political Base

April 30, 2013

Guy C. Fraker, author of “Lincoln’s Ladder,” will speak at Bradley University on May 15 at 7 p.m. in the Wyckoff Room in the Cullom-Davis Library.

Fraker, a Bloomington attorney and Lincoln scholar, will discuss how Lincoln’s twenty-three years traveling the Eighth Judicial Circuit in central Illinois, including his Peoria ties, built the political base for his climb to the presidency. The author has fully explored the circuit's historic route and the lawyers and Judge David Davis who traveled together.

Sponsored by the Friends of Cullom-Davis Library, the presentation is free and open to the public. Mr. Fraker’s books will be available for purchase.
