The New Faculty Mentorship Committee (NFMC) provides venues for Bradley University junior faculty to gather and discuss a variety of topics related to their new employment and future success at Bradley. One of the major goals of the NFMC is to provide a support system that ensures junior faculty success in academic careers across all disciplines. This goal is accomplished by offering professional development workshops that focus on topics such as effective teaching, innovative teaching, and preparation of tenure and promotion materials. Workshops are offered in a variety of formats and times in order to meet the needs of as many junior faculty as possible. Additionally, the NFMC organizes a variety of social events to encourage junior faculty, and their families, to build a sense community, which further ensures their success at Bradley.
