BU Photo Festival

BU Photo Festival is a two-week long event organized by Bradley University Department of Art, Photography Area. BU Photo Festival offers the opportunity for all Bradley University students regardless of their major to exhibit their photographs on campus, visit the Department of Art and see its studios and students in action.
BU Photo Festival Reception will take place on March 23, 2012, in Heuser Art Center, 6:00-8:00 pm. All students can attend and participate in camera-phone contest, photo scavenger hunt, photo booth, and other events!
Location: Heuser Art Center, Cullom-Davis Library, and others (TBA). A printable pdf map of festival's campus locations will be posted after February 27.
Eligibility: Submissions are welcome from all students currently enrolled at Bradley University. Digital photographs must be submitted by February 27.
Notification of acceptance will be sent out via email by March 5.
Requirements: The theme of the festival is Faces. Three categories: Self-Portraits, People, and Animals. Create images that are emotionally expressive and show not only a physical appearance, but also the character of your subject. You may submit up to 3 images. All images must be in jpeg format, no bigger than 2mb in size. Email your digital files to email@example.com. Put 'Festival Entry' in subject line; in the text of your email indicate each file's category (i.e. 'Self', 'Portrait', or 'Animal'), your full name and major. Files should be titled as follows: LastName_FirstName_1Title.jpg. Exhibit Juror: Anastasia Samoylova, photography instructor at Slane College of Communications and Fine Arts.
Awards: Accepted participants will receive a high-quality print of their artwork as a gift from BU Photography Area. Winners in each category will be selected by public vote. Prizes will be awarded to 3 winners. Awards will be given at the Reception on March 23, 2012. You need to be present at the reception in order to receive a prize.
