Message from Dean Radson
The experiences and knowledge you gain during college will have a tremendous impact not only on your personal growth, but also on your professional future. Your college choice depends on many factors: financial assistance, proximity to home or friends, enrollment size, campus life and most importantly, I believe, the quality of your educational experience.
Ranked among the best, the Foster College of Business offers learning experiences both in an out of the classroom to expand your thinking and enhance your skills—preparing you to “hit the ground running” as you step into the business world.
Unlike many other institutions, freshman business students are immediately admitted to the Foster College of Business Administration. You can begin your degree studies within the first semester. Working with your Foster College faculty advisor, you’ll receive guidance and advice on which courses, experiences, and leadership opportunities will best prepare you to achieve your career and personal aspirations.
Our core business curriculum teaches you the foundational aspects of doing business and is complimented by abundant opportunities for you to participate in practical, business experiences. For example, as a senior business student you’ll undertake the Senior Capstone Project where, working with a team of other Foster College seniors, you’ll serve as consultants to real business clients. You might be designing a business plan or analyzing new market possibilities. No matter what, you’ll be working in “real-time,” testing and refining your problem solving, decision-making, and communication skills. If entrepreneurship is your goal, our business plan competition, Project Springboard, offers generous finance assistance and start-up support for the winners to launch their own businesses.
The Foster College can help you see the world of business from a global perspective. A wide range of study abroad options, our unique Global Scholars Program, and one of the top ranked (and oldest) international business programs of study in the nation offer you varying levels of engagement with our global marketplace. Opportunities for study abroad exist in locations throughout Latin America, Eastern and Western Europe, and Asia, particularly in emerging business destinations within China, India, and Mexico.
In business and in life, it’s not just about what you know, but whom you know.
Through vibrant and active student organizations, educational workshops, and professional development seminars, Foster College of Business students have the opportunity to learn and socialize with friends, network with area business leaders, and give back to the community. The McCord Lecture Series and the Theresa S. Falcon Executive Speaker Series bring business leaders from the community, the nation, and the world to share their knowledge of current business trends and their real-world business experience with our students.
The place you choose to spend the next four years should prepare you with the confidence and skills to succeed. At Foster College, you’ll focus on more than getting your first job—you’ll train for a career. The Foster College of Business is one of only 1% of business schools in the world to achieve and maintain AACSB International accreditation for both our business and accounting programs. Over 80% of our students secure internship experiences, many with Fortune 500 companies. For the past five years, at least 94 percent of our graduates were either putting their degrees to work or attending graduate school in their prospective fields within six months of graduation. As employers cull resumes, a degree from Bradley gets recognized: Foster College graduates are consistently hired for full-time career positions with top employers such as JP Morgan, State Farm, Caterpillar, Boeing, PepsiCo, Northern Trust, Apple Computers, and Kraft.
Our dynamic and evolving business world consistently demands that we be willing to step outside our comfort zone, take on new challenges, and imagine new possibilities. As you prepare to enter that world, I am confident that a degree from Bradley’s Foster College of Business will prepare you with the knowledge, skills and experience to navigate a challenging and rewarding career.
