Accounting major Jaclyn Eiselt ’16, of Pekin, Illinois, received one of the Illinois CPA Society’s Accounting Tuition Scholarships over the summer. She was one of 31 students to receive ICPAS awards for the school year.

“I was thrilled and honored when I found out that I was chosen to receive the Illinois CPA Society Accounting Scholarship,” said Eiselt. “It is an honor that I will always feel proud of receiving.”

ICPAS awarded $60,000 in scholarships this year, with students receiving either $4,000 tuition awards or $500 textbook awards.

Assistant Professor of Accounting Dr. Mollie Adams wrote Eiselt’s scholarship recommendation.

“Jaclyn is a dedicated and responsible student,” she said. “I’m pleased that ICPAS has recognized her hard work.”

Eiselt bolstered her credentials through a summer internship at PricewaterhouseCoopers’s Peoria office. The internship led to a risk assurance job offer that begins after she graduates next year.

“The faculty at the Foster College of Business teaches in such a meaningful and relevant manner, which inspired me to pursue a career in accounting,” Eiselt said. “Their guidance and support has helped me tremendously.”
