Program Description

The General Education Program consists of nine categories and 36 semester hours from a pre-approved list of courses as follows:

  • English Composition (100 and 300 level) - semester hours
  • Speech - semester hours
  • Mathematics - 3 semester hours 
  • Western Civilization - semester hours
  • Non-Western Civilization - semester hours
  • Human Values [Literature (HL) & Philosophy (HP)] - 3 semester hours*
  • Fine Arts - semester hours
  • Cultural Diversity and Social Forces - semester hours
  • Science - semester hours

                Total 36 semester hours

*  College of Liberal Arts & Sciences majors are required to take 6 semester hours, 3 HL and 3 HP
