Program Description
The General Education Program consists of nine categories and 36 semester hours from a pre-approved list of courses as follows:
- English Composition (100 and 300 level) - 6 semester hours
- Speech - 3 semester hours
- Mathematics - 3 semester hours
- Western Civilization - 3 semester hours
- Non-Western Civilization - 3 semester hours
- Human Values [Literature (HL) & Philosophy (HP)] - 3 semester hours*
- Fine Arts - 3 semester hours
- Cultural Diversity and Social Forces - 6 semester hours
- Science - 6 semester hours
Total 36 semester hours
* College of Liberal Arts & Sciences majors are required to take 6 semester hours, 3 HL and 3 HP
