Senior accounting major awarded CPA scholarship
June 1, 2012
Emily Ioerger, a senior in accounting from Metamora, recently won the Advancing Women in Accounting Scholarship from the Women’s Executive Committee of the Illinois CPA Society.
The scholarship supports high-achieving female students interested in becoming CPAs and offers up to $4,000 to students to help with expenses with their senior year or post-baccalaureate studies needed to sit for the CPA Exam.
The Illinois CPA Society Women’s Executive Committee established the award to improve the opportunities for women in the CPA profession in Illinois. The Illinois CPA Society receives applications from across the state, making competition stiff for the scholarship.
