The Asian Studies Program at Bradley University is an interdisciplinary degree Minor program offering students a broad understanding of the political, social, economic and cultural forces that have influenced and continue to shape Asia. The geographic and cultural areas examined under the Asian Studies minor include East, Southeast, South and Inner Asia, the Middle East and the Asian diaspora.
In addition to offering a wide range of courses related to Asia, the program sponsors and promotes relevant speakers and campus events and encourages students to experience Asia first-hand through opportunities to travel, study and work abroad.
In our increasingly globalized world, all students with an interest in Asia will benefit from this program. Students majoring in any field may complete an Asian Studies Minor. Those majoring in international studies, international business, and liberal arts disciplines including history, political science, philosophy and religious studies, and sociology, will find the Minor a particularly valuable complement to their Major studies.
