Title: Senior Project Leader

My Bradley University education has helped me start and advance my career at Edward Jones. Being a successful IT leader requires a balance of business and technical skills, and my Business Computer Systems (now Management Information Systems) major prepared me exceptionally well.

The first-class education and professional preparation you obtain; the relationships you form with friends, faculty, and staff that endure long after you graduate; and the involvement in campus organizations/activities which creates the sense of belonging that returns every time you step back on campus: it’s all part of the Bradley Experience.

It’s a small world – you never know when the next job offer, referral, or sale might come from a fellow Bradley alum. No matter where you go or what you do, once a Brave, always a Brave!

Current Employer: Cerner Corporation
Title: Human Resources Business Analyst

My Bradley education has helped me enormously in my professional career. Cerner Corporation is a global supplier of healthcare solutions and a place where critical thinking is essential. The Foster College of Business Administration's emphasis on problem solving has set me apart from my colleagues in this professional setting. The BMA program put me in front of real clients with real-world business needs and helped prepare me for a career outside the Bradley bubble.

While at Bradley, I participated in many community and service-related activities, mainly through my sorority, Kappa Delta. Thanks to philanthropy opportunities at Bradley, giving back to the community became one of my top priorities and I have continued my community involvement here in Kansas City through work, church, and my KD alumnae chapter.

One of the best experiences Bradley provided me was the opportunity to study abroad. I spent two and a half weeks in Vienna, Austria in May 2008. In this beautiful city with a rich culture I prepared for my HR career at an international corporation. Bradley offers educationally and culturally enriching programs in countries all over the world; I urge every current and prospective student to consider a study abroad experience.

Current Employer: The Walt Disney World Resort
Title: Guest Service Manager

Receiving an education from Bradley has provided me with numerous advantages. Every one of my cohorts has a college degree, but none of them received the same level of hands on learning like I did. I also had more course taught by industry experts or professors with real life applications of the material.

Working for the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida is an experience unlike any other. There are chances every day to make a difference in the life of an individual or family. I feel strongly that my experience at Bradley University, especially in the Foster College of Business Administration, helped prepare me to give back so much today.

Current students, use the skills you’re acquiring at Bradley and take advantage of every opportunity try new things and get involved. Albert Einstein said it best: “A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.” Remember, you are a Bradley Brave, and you have thousands of fellow alumni who know the value of your education.  Reach out to us!
