Biography

Dr. Goitein serves as Director of Survey Research and performs twice yearly surveys of Peoria-Pekin or surrounding area household economic and business-related attitudes. As director of the Center for Business and Economic Research, he supervises a range of consulting and research projects performed by faculty-student teams for business, government, and nonprofit agencies.

Teaching

Dr. Goitein teaches Management Theory and Management Decision Making.

Scholarship

Dr. Goitein conducts research on judgment and decision making of individuals, groups, and organizations, consumer confidence in the economy, and management culture. He also sits on the editorial review board of the Journal of Managerial Issues. He has published in such journals as Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Evaluation and Program Planning, Human Relations, International Journal of Advertising, and International Journal of Forecasting.
