John H. Shroyer Service Award in Chemistry
In 1974, the Department of Chemistry established the John H. Shroyer Service Award in honor of Dr. Shroyer, who served the University as professor of chemistry, department chair and dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Recipients of the award have demonstrated a sustained commitment to serving the chemistry department in such areas as laboratory assisting, preparations and maintenance, tutoring, the Chemistry Club and other Departmental activities.
