Elizabeth Ruf Field Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2005 by the Field Family to honor an exceptional teacher, mentor and scholar.   Elizabeth Field has dedicated her life to education, promoting cultural diversity, tolerance and introspection to thousands of high school and college students. The annual awardee(s), selected by the department, are individuals planning to become physicians. Recipient(s) must be enrolled as a full-time student(s) in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.4 or greater.  Elizabeth earned a B.A. in French from Hiram College and an M.A. in French from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She has taught French at the high school level at Cleveland Heights (OH), Glen Bernie (MD), and Oahu (HI) and at the college level at Bradley University (1977-1993) and Eureka College (1987-present).
