Biography

Dr. Erin Schauster is an Assistant Professor of Communication and teaches in the Advertising concentration. Dr. Schauster received her doctorate at the Missouri School of Journalism, masters from the Department of Mass Communications at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and bachelors from the School of Journalism at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Her research agenda includes topics of advertising, strategic communications, and organizations, with an emphasis on advertising ethics and organizational culture. Dr. Schauster has several years of advertising industry experience as an account executive, new business coordinator, and researcher at small and large advertising agencies in St. Louis and Nashville. Dr. Schauster also worked for the Daily Egyptian newspaper as an account representative and production artist during her undergraduate education.
