Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek)

November 16, 2011

Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) is designated by the U.S. House of Representatives as the week of Grace Murray Hopper’s birthday (Dec 9), a pioneer in computer science and computer science education.  The week recognizes the transformative role of computing and the need to bolster computer science at all educational levels.

At Bradley, we are participating in CSEdWeek by facilitating four workshops for high school students and a gaming party for both high school and Bradley students.  Topics covered by the workshops include programming, robotics, mobile computing, and computing-related applications of math.  The workshops are intended to excite and engage high school students and garner from them an interest in computing and computer science.
