About our Department
The Department of Economics is home to eight full-time faculty. The faculty boasts degrees from some of the most respected doctoral programs in the country. To stay on the cutting edge of their field, every faculty member is engaged in research. The payoff for students is in the classroom. Three of the faculty have won the University’s top teaching award while several others have been recognized with Foster College teaching and research awards. Current faculty research topics include money and banking, applied econometrics, industrial organizations, immigration and global economics, and research and development.
The department is home to the Global Economy Journal, the official journal of the International Trade and Finance Association (IT&FA). It is an innovative, peer-reviewed journal that strives to disseminate top-quality research and analysis rapidly to academics and professionals interested in the global economy. The department is also home to the Center for Economic Education, which works with area grade school students in introducing them to economic concepts through economic fairs and poster contests.
The Department of Economics is also home to G.I.N.I., Bradley University’s Global Innovation and Networking Institute.
