Broadside is Bradley University's literary arts journal showcasing creative work by Bradley students. We publish written work (poetry, fiction, plays, screenplays, creative non-fiction) and visual artwork (photos, paintings, drawings etc.). The Broadside Journal is published in the spring and is free to Bradley students. Broadside also publishes "Broadsheets," 11X17 inch posters, three times during each school year that display student writing and art around campus. Any current student may submit work to be considered for publication.
Broadside organization is run entirely by current Bradley students who love writing and art. Student committees evaluate pieces for publication in the journal through an anonymous selection process. Only the Editor-in-Chief knows who submits each piece. Broadside holds at least one Open Mic night each year. These events are opportunities for students to share their creative work with each other. Any student may read or perform at these events or sit in the audience and enjoy. Watch for flyers around campus announcing Broadside events and deadlines.
