Poetry Group Sets First Meeting
September 13, 2012
Writehouse Ink. is a community composed of both routine and aspiring writers, lyricists, poets, editors, and readers. While other organizations focus on publishing or performing, we only want to provide a time and location for the actual writing process. We believe that one of the hardest things about writing is learning how to do it consistently, and for that reason we exist.
Our purpose is to devote one hour of every week to writing. This writing will take place during a weekly meeting, although members are encouraged to write outside of meetings. After two weeks of writing and editing their own work, we hold workshops where everyone is given an opportunity to critique and have their work critiqued.
Our first informational meeting of the year will be Sunday, Oct. 14 at 7:00 pm in room 229 of the library. If interested or if you have any questions, join the public Facebook group: "Writehouse Ink." or email Christian Lyon at firstname.lastname@example.org.
