Biography

Dr. Regina Pope-Ford, in addition to previous teaching experience, has a diverse engineering background, having worked in industry in various positions, including test equipment design, design assurance, systems analysis, business analysis, and project management.  Believing that human factors/ergonomics is a vital part of our lives, her research involves the study of muscular skeletal disorders in dentistry.  Her plans are to expand the research to other areas of human factors with regard to dentistry and to include additional healthcare professions and other occupations.  She has an interest in interdisciplinary collaborations.

She is also interested in STEM education and research.  In addition to language and reading courses, STEM courses are the foundation of our existence and is key for societal advancement.  Therefore, as an educator, her passion is to ensure students within her sphere of influence and beyond are exposed to STEM topics and are prepared for STEM careers.
