Doug Peterson ’00, MA ’09

“Since graduation, I have received the Peoria Park District's President's Volunteer Service Award for my work with this organization. I continue to volunteer with the Peoria Park District Youth Outreach and Intervention Department in its quest to improve the community and provide opportunities for area youth. I am currently in my 20th year of teaching in the Illinois Community College System, and I am looking for opportunities to utilize my human service administration knowledge.”

Katrina (Breed) Wager ’09

“I was married over the summer and am now Katrina Wager. I am working as a guidance counselor and teacher’s aide at Tampico Elementary School in Tampico.”

James Gibb ’09

“I am working as an outpatient therapist for McLean County Center for Human Services in Bloomington. I counsel both children and adults. I will soon be taking on other responsibilities here and counseling prisoners in the McLean County Jail, which should be very interesting!”

Jennifer Gerrietts ’09

“I started working at Pekin Community High School as a high school counselor. We had our first baby on May 23, and it was a girl whom we named Olivia. We are all doing very well!”

“I am now studying for my Ph.D. in counseling at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.”
