McConoughey joins ELH faculty
June 8, 2010
Dr. Gina McConoughey joins the Department of Educational Leadership and Human Development as an interim assistant professor.
McConoughey teaches courses in the leadership minor and coordinates the human service administration program. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University, Master of Science degree in adult continuing education from Northern Illinois University, and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Illinois State University. She has worked professionally in various businesses and has held an associate professor position for the last four years at Illinois Central College. She will complete her Master of Business Administration at Bradley University in May 2010.
The interim assistant professor has been active on several boards in the Peoria community. This year she and her husband, Jim, are chairpersons of the United Way Campaign. Her work with United Way and its partner agencies brings an interesting perspective to the graduate students in human service administration.
She and her husband have a son in high school and a daughter in college. They have lived in the Peoria area since 2001.
