Concentration in Global Supply Chain Management

In the last decade Supply Chain Management and Sales and Operations Planning have moved from being used by only a few large companies to being part the daily business dialogue. Moreover, sustainability has moved from an unknown to being an item of central concern that not only reduces pollution, but saves firms hundreds of millions of dollars.

In the next decade supply chain activities will continue to be at the forefront of business thinking with attention centered on continued improvement of supply chain performance, enhancement of transportation capabilities, more effective and efficient offshoring, and better collaboration across the chain including suppliers, internal partners, and customers.

Graduates of the concentration will:

  • Be prepared to manage business‐to‐business marketing relationships.
  • Be competent to oversee global trade practices and the mechanics of global transactions.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of supply chain strategy, structure, terminology.

Courses in Global Supply Chain Management Concentration

The concentration requires 15 hours of specific coursework listed below. For students who complete the Concentration in Global Supply Chain Management, all classes listed below (including IB 402 and IME 385) will be considered marketing hours that count toward fulfilling the required 24 hours of marketing credit required for graduation.
