New faculty join department

Dr. Tiffany (“Tiff”) Troutman began at Bradley in fall 2008. She received her master’s and doctorate degrees at the University of California, Riverside, and her bachelor’s degree at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia. Her research specialty is in geometric analysis and Riemannian geometry.
Troutman enjoys watching “Doctor Who” with her husband, Eric, and their cats, Samson and Fluffy. She has been spotted at golf courses throughout the nation and at museums in the set of not art.
Dr. Liang (Jason) Hong joined the faculty in August 2009. A native of Shanghai, P.R. China, Hong earned his bachelor’s degree from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He received his master’s degree in applied statistics and a doctorate in mathematics from Purdue University. His academic interests include stochastic analysis, mathematical finance, actuarial science, operations research, and applied statistics. In December 2009, Hong was officially recognized as an associate in the Society of Actuaries.
Hong has been a competitive chess player; his honors include 1997 Champion of Shanghai Intercollegiate Chess Tournament. His other non-academic interests include traveling, hiking, reading, canoeing, and swimming.
