As one of the oldest forms of engineering, principles of mathematics and science are applied to create an economical solution to technical problems. Mechanical engineering is a degree which gives students a broad scope of engineering. Although there are more specialized branches of engineering, mechanical engineering provides courses in every discipline of engineering to complete the degree. As a mechanical engineering student, you will experience topics related to aerospace, automobiles, material science, robotics, thermodynamics, biomedical engineering, energy and agriculture production. Some of the emerging areas include biotechnology and nanotechnology. The problem-solving skills and team projects offer a real-world experience.
