Biography

Dr. Alasagheirin teaches at sophomore and junior levels, he teaches Fundamentals of Nursing, Introduction to Medical-Surgical Nursing, Health of School age children, Men’s health, and Nursing Research.  Dr. Alasagheirin joined the Bradley faculty in 2012. Prior to that he was employed as a staff nurse in various institutions inside the USA and abroad, his clinical experience includes intensive care unit, Coronary care Unit, Trauma intensive care unit and Cardiac Catheterization lab.

Scholarship

Dr. Alasagheirin's research interests include refugee and new immigrant’s health, body composition of adults and children, Children obesity and related diseases, childrens physical activity and bone growth, and the effect of environmental exposures on the human body.

Service

Dr Alasagheirin is a member of the following societies:  Amnesty International Group, Human Rights Center, Midwest Nursing Research Society, American Anthropological Association, and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing. In addition, Dr. Alasagheirin was involved with many volunteer activities with several international agencies, includes the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nation High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR).
