BU Nursing STTI Chapter Earns Awards
December 12, 2011
Epsilon Epsilon has had a GREAT year! The local chapter has been awarded two Showcase of Regional Excellence awards. Showcase of Regional Excellence is designed to recognize work of chapters in relation to the biennial Presidential Call-to-Action. The first award was in the category of "Contributing to Global Health", where Epsilon Epsilon offered a program to celebrate the International Year of the Nurse, with Douglas Pavkov speaking of his experiences in Africa with the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care. The second award was in the category of "Creating Welcoming Environments", where Epsilon Epsilon implemented several ideas to increase student member participation in chapter activities.
Epsilon Epsilon also was awarded the Chapter Key Award! This award honors chapters who excel in chapter-related activities such as membership recruitment and retention, publicity and programming, professional and leadership development, and local, national and international collaboration. This is the first time Epsilon Epsilon has received this distinction.
