Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies
The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies is home to two disciplines with
a major and minor in each. These two disciplines are based in the humanistic tradition
and are premised on and dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom as ends in
themselves. At the same time, both disciplines cultivate skills that have led graduates into
successful careers in a wide range of occupations.
