Biography

A professor of psychology, Dr. Etaugh has also served the university as Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and
Sciences and Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. She is a Fellow of the Society for the
Psychology of Women and Developmental Psychology divisions of the American Psychological Association, and
a Fellow of the Midwestern Psychological Association.

Teaching

Dr. Etaugh has developed several psychology courses and helped develop the women’s studies minor
program. She has taught Psychology of Women courses at Bradley since 1979, both on-campus and abroad.
She also teaches Child Development and Adult Development and Aging.

Scholarship

Dr. Etaugh has published over 100 articles in such journals as Psychology of Women, Sex Roles, Child
Development, Developmental Psychology, Journal of Marriage and the Family, Teaching of Psychology,
Journal of College Student Development, Journal of Women and Aging, and American Psychologist, as well
as several book chapters. She is the co-author of The World of Children, Psychology of Women: A Lifespan
Perspective, Women’s Lives: A Topical Approach, and Women’s Lives: A Psychological Exploration. Dr. Etaugh
is the recipient of Bradley University’s Samuel Rothberg Award for Professional Excellence and the YWCA
Outstanding Woman Leader Award for Education/Professions.

Service

Dr. Etaugh has served on and chaired several university and college committees. In addition, she has been
a consulting editor for numerous journals, including Psychology of Women Quarterly, Sex Roles, Child
Development, Developmental Psychology, Psychological Bulletin, Journal of Applied & Social Psychology,
Journal of Research on Adolescence, and Journal of Occupational and Health Psychology.
