Teaching
Dr. Kowai-Bell currently teaches Social Psychology, Health Psychology, Experimental Methods, and Introductory Psychology. She has a very interactive teaching style so come prepared to participate and apply the material you have read.
Scholarship
Current research projects pertain to gender, perception of race and crime, and social influence in the classroom. Nascent research interests include cultural psychology and health disparities.
Service
Dr. Kowai-Bell serves as an ad hoc reviewer for various journals and a conference reviewer. Former service contributions include Faculty Senate and coordination of student orientation and advising for the Master's program at UHCL.
