Many Department of Sociology alumni shared news from their lives recently. Read their news.

Leith Anderson ’67 was one of a dozen individuals appointed in February to the President’s Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, a panel President Barack Obama began in 2009.

Capt. Lisa Merkel Snow ’89 received her Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Illinois. She oversees patrol operations for the Peoria Police Department.

Corey Campbell ’02 earned his Master of Social Work in December 2010. He is currently team leader of Mental Health Outpatient Services at the Human Service Center in Peoria. 

After graduating from Bradley with a minor in sociology, Lisa Orwig ’02 earned a master’s degree in social work from St. Ambrose University in 2004. She works in hospice care in Davenport, Iowa.

Lynn (Carew) Fitchtel ’03 lives in metro-Chicago with her husband and two children. She works part time in educational administration and is currently in the process of applying to a master’s degree program in child development.

Katrina Pennock ’06 works as a technical support specialist at AFFINA in Peoria.

After completing the Master of Arts Program in the Social Sciences at the University of Chicago, Caitlin Taggart ’07 is working as a research associate with the Johnson County Public Library near Kansas City, Kansas.

Mary Campbell ’09 is working on her master’s degree in public administration.

Daniel Pasko ’09 recently completed her Master of Science in sociology at Illinois State University. She is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program in sociology at the University of New Mexico.

Jonathon Holland ’11 is enrolled in the master’s program in sociology at the University of Kentucky.
