The Korean Connection

February 2, 2012

In November 2011, Dr. Heljä Antola-Crowe was invited to lecture on the topic of “Gifted children in the classroom: supporting learning through professional growth” in Daegu at Keimyung University. She also presented on differences between early childhood curriculum in Finland and the U.S. at Daegu Catholic University and the Women’s University in Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Antola-Crowe had several opportunities to collaborate and visit the ECE children’s center while in South Korea. She said visiting an early childhood center was exciting because the center was modeled after Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Education Center in Peoria, a professional development school with Bradley since 1997.
