The Hatchery is for students who want to launch a business while in college. The University will provide free wet lab or dry lab space to start and operate student owned businesses. Benefits available to Hatchery students include: 24/7 swipe card access; meeting rooms; free legal and accounting services; shared office equipment; mentoring; access to university resources; and business development services.
Admission into the Hatchery is a competitive process, based on the level of interest and demonstrated progress in developing an enterprise. Hatchery businesses are assigned a mentor who will help students set realistic milestones. Each startup has access to an Advisory Board to guide strategy development, and to connect them to needed resources.
The Hatchery provides students with an exciting atmosphere conducive to sharing ideas and solutions with other Hatchery residents, faculty, and entrepreneurs. This space for you to “hang out” is part of the entrepreneurial community available at Bradley. The targeted launch date is the 2014-2015 academic year.
