Campus Recreation provides a variety of programs to meet the recreational needs of all students. The new Markin Family Student Recreation Center is a multi-use indoor facility. The center provides opportunities for intramural events, sports and fitness classes, and unscheduled, informal activity. It has exercise and fitness equipment, an indoor pool, two racquetball courts, a rock climbing wall that stands 46 feet, a bouldering wall, a Multi-Activity Court (MAC court), a 1/8-mile running/walking track, and a juice bar. It has four basketball courts for intramural and recreational games and a championship court, which seats about 300 and will be used for, among other things, hosting championship intramural events. The intramural sports calendar includes 25 different events.
Outdoor recreational opportunities exist at the David Markin Tennis Courts and the Meinen Field outdoor recreation complex, which houses 21/2 basketball courts and a multi-sport field where soccer, softball, flag football, and a variety of other activities occur.
Campus Recreation also offers a variety of club sports students can participate in. Some of the most popular are men's ice hockey, men's and women's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, softball, and ultimate frisbee among many others.
