Smith Career Center

The Smith Career Center assists students in exploring and defining career options, developing job search strategies, obtaining career-related work experience, and identifying and connecting with prospective employers. Innovative services respond to current trends and economic conditions affecting the job market and career opportunities. These include:

The Smith Career Center provides a number of free online career development tools for students and alumni. Bradley netWORK is an online job source providing over 5,000 listings annually for campus jobs, Peoria-area part-time jobs, internships, and post-graduate opportunities. In addition to reviewing job postings, students can also use the site to post resumes to a Bradley Resume Book, research job fair employers, and sign-up for campus interviews. Additional resources available on the Smith Career Center website include products to explore career options for a major, develop a resume, and practice for an upcoming interview.

The Smith Career Center encourages students to gain a competitive advantage by participating in career-related work experiences prior to graduation. Through internships, cooperative education, and summer or part-time employment, the Springer Center for Internships provides students with opportunities for professional development that integrate classroom theory with supervised work experience.

Over 350 employers visit the Bradley campus each year to consider Bradley candidates for internship, cooperative education, summer, part-time, and full-time jobs. Students have the opportunity to meet employers during special presentations, job fairs, and on-campus interviews.

This is the official catalog for the 2016-2017 academic year. This catalog serves as a contract between a student and Bradley University. Should changes in a program of study become necessary prior to the next academic year every effort will be made to keep students advised of any such changes via the Dean of the College or Chair of the Department concerned, the Registrar's Office, u.Achieve degree audit system, and the Schedule of Classes. It is the responsibility of each student to be aware of the current program and graduation requirements for particular degree programs.
