Cooking For Kids

Rayven Anderson, 7, listens intently to tips from Bradley University dietetics major Samantha Rennack as they make a pumpkin peanut butter dip for apples. Rennack is one of the instructors for the 18th 4-H Chef School conducted by the University of Illinois Extension Service in Peoria. The classes reach about 600 children a year and are held at the old home economics at Manual High School and University United Methodist Church.
Bradley University dietetics major Samantha Rennack ladles gravy over biscuits as instructors in the 4-H Chef School serve a meal prepared from scratch by the young participants.
