The
Mildred Arnold Scholarship
Every year, one freshman is named the "Mildred Arnold Scholar" and
receives a scholarship of up to $4,000. The award is renewable
for up to four years as long as the student maintains a minimum
GPA of 3.00. Only students who have applied by February 1,
to Bradley University's Department of Family and Consumer Sciences
and have completed and returned the Mildred Arnold Scholarship application
receive full consideration for the program. <more

As part of this scholarship, the Mildred Arnold Scholar begins an
undergraduate research project with an appropriate faculty member
in the department during his/her junior year. This project
will result in a scholarly paper to be presented to a peer-reviewed
journal or national forum no later than during his/her final semester
at Bradley.
Mildred Arnold, a 1932 alumna of Bradley University, was committed
to furthering the philosophy of Family and Consumer Sciences and
to scholarly activity.

Wheeler Scholarship
Every year, one freshman
is named the "C.C. Wheeler Scholar" and receives a scholarship of
$4,000. The award is renewable for up to four years as long
as the student maintains a minimum GPA of 3.00. Only students
who have applied by February 1, to Bradley University's Department
of Family and Consumer Sciences and have completed and returned
the C.C. Wheeler Scholarship application receive full consideration
for the program.

The C.C. Wheeler Scholar
is expected to be involved in a service or research project through
the C.C.Wheeler
Institute and will also have opportunity to present their
scholarly work in a forum similar to the Mildred Arnold Scholar.
All
scholars have the privilege of monthly meetings with their faculty
mentor and other scholars. Current research projects by junior
and senior scholars are discussed. Freshman and sophomore
scholars have time to develop research ideas with faculty and upper
class scholars during this period of time. This project will
result in a scholarly paper to be presented to a peer-reviewed journal
or national forum no later than during his/her final semester at
Bradley.

Upperclassmen
Scholarships
As continuing FCS majors,
upperclassmen are eligible to apply for several scholarships ranging
from several hundred to $3,000 per year. These scholarships
have been established through the generous donations of our gracious
alumnae.
