Students learn to analyze organizational problems from multiple
perspectives. Courses focus on application of theories to
issues that school leaders face with an emphasis on making the connections

Accreditation
National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education; approval
by the Illinois State Board of Education; satisfies requirements
for General Administrative Endorsement—which qualifies students
to be principals in elementary, middle, or high schools in Illinois.

Field Experience
A field experience with a practicing administrator is required;
students typically take two semesters to complete this requirement.

Admissions is coordinated through the Graduate
Admissions Office, which offers information, step-by-step directions,
and a downloadable application. Admissions are ongoing; applications
should be submitted three months prior to the student’s first semester.
