The Department of Nursing was established in 1956. The Department offers both graduate and undergraduate programs of study. The purpose of the undergraduate program is to prepare graduates for the beginning practice of professional nursing in a variety of settings. The undergraduate program serves undergraduate students, registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. The purpose of the graduate program is to prepare professional nurses for advanced nursing practice. Major areas of study in the graduate program are offered in nursing administration and nurse administered anesthesia.
