| Established
in 1956, Bradley University’s Department of Nursing offers both
undergraduate and graduate
programs of study, as well as a special summer program for
high school students.
In the undergraduate program, students master the beginning practice
of professional nursing in a variety of settings. The program, which
leads to a bachelor’s of science in nursing, serves undergraduate
students, registered nurses, and licensed practical nurses.
In the graduate program, professional nurses learn advanced nursing
practice. This program leads to a master’s of science in nursing,
focusing on either nursing administration or nurse administered
anesthesia.

The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission was on campus for three days to review the department. The NLNAC recommended continued unconditional accreditation for both the baccalaureate and master’s nursing programs. Getting that seal of approval is a wonderful tribute to the Nursing Department, which continues to be one of the best in the nation.
