Janet Jackson serves as
the Level III coordinator for the nursing program. Currently,
she teaches a component of the medical-surgical content in the classroom
and the clinical areas. She also coordinates the Nursing Co-op
Program and is involved in developing activities to help students
prepare for the NCLEX-RN licensing exam. Professor Jackson
is also a member of the graduate faculty and guides graduate student
research.
Currently, Professor Jackson is collaborating on research related
to health needs and health promotion in medically underserved populations
in the Peoria area. Other research interests include the success
of transfer students in baccalaureate nursing programs and predictors
of success on the NCLEX-RN licensing exam.
Background
Professor Jackson joined the Bradley University nursing faculty
in 1989. Prior to that time she taught at University of Arkansas
in Fayetteville, Ark., and Methodist Medical Center School of Nursing
in St. Joseph, Mo. Her clinical experiences include critical
care nursing and home-health nursing.
Degrees & Certification
Professor Jackson received her BSN (1976) from the University of
Missouri and her MS in nursing (1984) from the University of Oklahoma.
She is currently enrolled in the PhD program in educational administration
at Illinois State University. |
