Department of Physical Therapy & Health Science

Across the state of Illinois, around the Midwest, and indeed across the United States, you’ll find our graduates working in a wide range of health care settings.

That’s because our innovative undergraduate health science major is great preparation for careers such as hospital or health care administration, public relations, advertising, patient management, medicine, health care advocacy, technical support, research, and more. It also offers the option of direct admission into our graduate program in physical therapy.

The graduate physical therapy program teaches biomechanics, neurosciences, musculoskeletal, physiology, motor learning, research, and administrative theory. With this foundation students learn examination, evaluation, diagnostic, and intervention skills, and they practice their skills in five clinical rotations.
