Sherrie Pardieck is an
associate professor in teacher education. Her area of specialization
is the teaching of reading. Dr. Pardieck's most recent research
has studied the impact of electronic teaching portfolios on pre-service
teachers as instruments to measure students' professional growth
and development and identification of improvement opportunities.
Other recent work has investigated the role of professional
portfolios as documentaries of pre-service teachers student-teaching
experience and program completion.
Background
Dr. Pardieck has held a variety of teaching positions since joining
the department in 1989. Before coming to Bradley University,
she taught in various rural and urban public school settings and
assisted in the development of both at-risk and adult literacy programs.
Degrees & Certification
Dr. Pardieck earned her EdD in curriculum and instruction at Illinois
State University in 2000. She received her BA from Eureka
College and her MA from Bradley University. |
