Resources


You can add resources sections and choose from thousands of LiveText and unitedstreaming(TM) resources, provided that you have purchased and subscribed to the unitedstreaming service. 

Creating a Resources Section

  1. While in edit mode, click the title of page where you would like a resources section.
  2. Click the Create new section... link.
  3. Select the Resources radio button.
  4. Click the Create section link.

Adding a Resource

After you have created a resources section, you can begin  to add resources. 

LiveText Resources

  1. Click the edit link that corresponds with the Resources section.
  2. Under the LiveText Resources heading, select the Type of resource you would like to include in your search.
  3. Optionally, you can enter Keywords to focus your search.
  4. Select the Search button to continue.
  5. Using the checkboxes, select the desired resources from the search results.
  6. Click the Add checked link to add the LiveText resource to your document.

unitedstreaming(TM) Video Resources

  1. Click the edit link that corresponds with the Resources section.
  2. Under the unitedstreaming(TM) Video Resources heading, click the Go button.
  3. Search for unitedstreaming(TM) content using keywords, Subject, Topic, and Grade level criterion and select the Go button.
     

    The first time that you visit unitedstreaming(TM), you will be asked to register your account before your reach the search page.  Follow the registration instructions, but do not change any fields that have been automatically populated with information.

  4. After the search results appear, choose a resource by clicking its title. 
  5. Choose the Media Type by clicking the corresponding radio buttons.

    Note that you may be required to install multimedia plug-ins if your web browser does not support the unitedstreaming(TM) content.

  6. Click the S button to view a video.
  7. Click the Add to LiveText link to add the resource to your document.
  8. If you desire, edit the resource Name, Description, Subject, and Grade(s), but do not make changes to the URL.
  9. Click the Add resource button.

Personal Resources

  1. Click the edit link that corresponds with the Resources section.
  2. Under the Personal Resources heading, click the Go button.
  3. Enter the Name, URL (if applicable), Type, Description, Subject, and Grade(s) for the resource.
  4. Click the Add resource button.

Editing Resources

  1. Click the edit link that corresponds with the resources section you wish to edit.
  2. Click the edit link that corresponds with the individual resource that you wish to change.
  3. Make the desired changes to your resource.
  4. To save your changes, click the Save resource button.

Removing Resources

  1. Click the edit link that corresponds with the Resource section.
  2. Mark the checkboxes that correspond with the resources that you wish to remove.
  3. Click the Remove checked link.
  4. Confirm the removal by clicking the OK button.
