Research Interests

Dr. Robert Fuessle’s research areas are hazardous waste treatment and management modeling for environmental systems. He has collaborated with Dr. Taylor from the Department of Chemistry on hazardous waste research projects for the state of Illinois. They experimented with more effective and efficient mix designs for the stabilization/solidification of inorganic hazardous waste. Dr. Fuessle is also interested in how the quantity and quality of information affects management or engineering decisions for pollution control.

Dr. Fuessle's research interests per topic are:

Stabilization of Hazardous Wastes

Mathematical Modeling of Environmental Systems: Fate and Transport Modeling

Environmental Management and Policy Analysis

Environmental Risk Assessment
