February 2006 - Eric Ross presented “The Story, The Opportunity
and The Success for an IAC Engineer” at the 2006 Annual IAC Student
Meeting, held February 9th and 10th in Washington, D.C. In
his presentation, Eric discussed his experience as a student engineer at Mitsubishi Motors
North America and how his IAC experience prepared him for
this “real world” challenge.

the unique energy engineering skills and
capabilities of IAC students and the internship experience

Summer 2005 - Eric Ross and Noah Burkett received EPA
internships. Their IAC experience gave them an advantage when applying for
these positions.
May 2005 - Jeff Schmidgall
attended two conferences presented by the Compressed Air Challenge.
Equipped with the knowledge from this BestPractices
conference, Jeff recently gave a presentation to the BU IAC staff and
fellow classmates that emphasized the great cost savings potential of
compressed air systems. He also explained basic compressed-air system
components and practical ideas for improving the efficiency of these
systems.
February 2005 - Mike Heidari
presented “The Value of Unique AR's in
Improving Implementation Rates” at the 2005 Annual IAC Student Meeting,
held February 17th and 18th in Washington, D.C. In
his presentation, Mike discussed how unique assessment recommendations can
improve overall implementation rates.
January 2005 - The second installment of “Ellie’s Corner” is published in
the IAC Student and Alumni Newsletter.
July 2004 - Ellie Najafi
presented “Implementation Rate
Analysis and Corrective Action” at the 2004 Annual IAC Directors
Meeting, held in San Diego,
outlining the progress of this investigation.
June 2004 - Students Noah Buerkett,
Daren Carr, Mike Heidari, and Adam Stark attended
a one-day seminar held by Nalco Company that covered operation of typical
steam systems and discussed methods of system efficiency improvement. This
training will help industrial and institutional plant personnel to identify
opportunities to improve steam utilization.
February 2004 - Ellie Najafi
presented “The Business Case for
Implementation” at the 2004 Annual IAC Student Meeting, held February
19th and 20th in Washington, D.C. In
her presentation, Ellie discussed the role of the business specialist in
supporting and promoting the IAC.
October 2003 - Ellie Najafi
will be submitting articles, entitled “Ellie’s Corner”, in the IAC
Student and Alumni Newsletter, published by the national IAC Student
Activities Coordinator at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. This regular
column is intended to be an exchange of ideas for marketing IAC services
and client implementation.
